// Ranked for running
Ranked for running. Connect your watch and run like you always do — your Weekly Score from runs, kilometers and pace competes against 29 runners at your level, every week. Because rivalry keeps you running: fair at every level, without changing your training.
// Silver II · Example league
30 runners at your level. One week. One Weekly Score. Ranks 1–2 get promoted directly, ranks 29–30 get relegated.
// Example standings from a simulated Silver II league. The app is already live in founder testing — Season 01 starts once the waitlist is full.
// The Weekly Score
// The formula — max. 100 points
In plain words: Every week you collect up to 100 points — in three blocks. Running regularly earns 10 points per run (four count). Collecting kilometers earns up to 30 points — the limit depends on your level. One fast run earns up to 30 points for your quickest run of the week — only runs of 20+ minutes count. You're only compared with runners at your level.
10 points per run ≥ 20 minutes. Four runs per week count — after that the block is full. Consistency over volume.
30 × (weekly km / tier cap). Full block when you reach your tier's cap. Kilometers beyond that add nothing.
Your best pace from a run of 20+ minutes, scored within your tier's pace band. Short sprints don't count.
Try it yourself: pick your tier (unsure? start with Silver). Enter your week — we'll show you what you need for promotion and relegation.
// Scored band: 6:45 – 5:45 /km
// Of your fastest run of 20+ minutes. The actual pace you ran is scored — elevation is not factored in.
// Solid midfield. One more run or a tempo run and you're fighting for the top.
// The tier system
Bronze to Grandmaster, each in classes III → II → I. Every tier has its own km cap and its own pace band — so competition is within reach at every level, from returning runners to sub-3:55 racers. Women get their own adjusted pace band in every tier (≈ 10%) — same tiers, same promotions, fair scoring.
// How it works
We read your runs from Apple Health. Garmin, Polar, Suunto & Coros sync there automatically — you keep your watch and your routine. iOS for now, Android planned.
Your run history places you instantly — tier and class from day one. No history? Your first week decides. No questionnaire.
Mon 00:00 to Sun 23:59. Runs, kilometers, pace. 30 runners in your class. One Weekly Score, one spot in the table.
Ranks 1–2 move up to the league above, ranks 29–30 move down. Every week reshuffles.
// The club
The league is the mechanic. The club is the substance.
We're building Rivalry as a registered running club — not an app with a subscription. Membership is a commitment signal, not a business model. If you're in, you belong.
All league features stay open for non-members. Membership is belonging, not a paywall. Members get a badge, their jersey colors on their profile, a reserved runner handle, access to the members channel, and early access to new features.
The competition is the season itself: twelve weeks, promotion or relegation every week, champions crowned in every tier at the end — then it reshuffles and the next season begins.
